Hotels in Cebu are building more rooms to deal with the projected increase in the number of tourists arriving in the resort island.
Department of Tourism (DOT) 7 Director Patria Aurora Roa said more foreign visitors are expected to visit Cebu, according to this Sun.Star Cebu report. She said at least 10,000 Chinese tourists are expected to come to Cebu in the next seven months.
A high ranking official of Sarrosa International Hotel and International Suites, told Sun.Star on condition of anonymity, that the company is planning to add 160 rooms to their existing 112 rooms in a year or two.
Plantation Bay Resort and Spa is also expected to complete next month is Ozonawa Spa Village. The facility will add three rooms to Plantation Bay’s 247 existing rooms.
