Marco Polo Hotel limits bookings to Asean Summit participants

Marco Polo Plaza (formerly Cebu Plaza Hotel) is no longer accepting bookings for December 1 to 15 except for delegates to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) Summit.

Hotel sales manager Arabella Barz said in an interview with Sun.Star Cebu that this move is upon the instructions of the Department of Foreign Affairs.

Barz told Sun.Star Cebu: “All the hotels in Cebu, including Marco Polo, will be used exclusively by the delegates of the Asean for security reasons. No other guests could use the rooms and other facilities during the entire period.”

Marco Polo Plaza has for accommodation 329 guestrooms and suites. It’s located in Nivel Hills in Cebu City and overlooks the entire city.

hey i have been in marco polo hotel and guess what it sucks!!! i was there because of the wedding of my sister and i was one of the entourage. we own a restaurant and we decided to eat in marco polo and brought food from the restaurant but when we arrived they didnt allow us to bring the food inside. when my sister asked and asked then they allow but made us eat in the employees cafeteria which is smelly, dirty and small and even made us 1000php for every box we brought so we paid 5000php……thats why it sucks!!! “MARCO POLO SHOULD SHUT DOWN!!!”
