Malaysia Airlines will increase the frequency of flights between Cebu and Kuala Lumpur to four times a week. The carrier currently flies the route twice weekly.
Malaysia Airlines will fly between Cebu and Kuala Lumpur every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday starting Oct. 30, according to this Sun.Star Cebu report.
Transnational Aero Corp. (TAC) general manager Rene Philip Banzon said the carrier is planning daily flights for the route, depending on the profitability of the four-times-a-week schedule. TAC is the general sales agent for Malaysia Airlines in the Visayas and Mindanao.
He also said that while daily Cebu-Kuala Lumpur flights “have been approved in principle” in talks with Philippine Airlines, there is no formal agreement yet.
