Suroy-Suroy Sugbo goes to 15 towns in north Cebu

Go on a tour of the northern towns of Cebu and experience the culture and hospitality of Cebuanos. Get to visit tourist spots that Cebu towns are well known for, such as white sand beaches, old churches and houses, and historical structures.

This month’s Suroy-Suroy Sugbo, a tourism project of Cebu Gov. Gwen Garcia, is dubbed the “Northern Escapade.” It will run for three days — January 19-21, 2011 — and take guests to the heart of the towns of Bantayan, Madridejos, San Remegio, Medellin, Sogod, Carmen, Santa Fe, Liloan, Consolacion, Bogo, Tabogon, Compostela, Borbon, Catmon, and Danao City.

Suroy-Suroy Sugbo tours 15 northern towns

Fifteen of Cebus northern towns will be the official stops in next weeks Suroy-Suroy Sugbo, a tourism project of Cebu Gov. Gwen Garcia.

Dubbed the “Northern Escapade,” the tour will run from August 30 to September 1 and will start on Thursday next week with a visit to the town of Consolacion where participants will have their breakfast. (Check map of the tour itinerary after the jump).

Gov. Garcia leads Suroy-Suroy to Cebu’s southern towns

Cebu Gov. Gwen Garcia will start her Suroy-Suroy Sugbo tourism project this year with the Southern Heritage Trail, which will run from January 24 to 26 in 21 Cebu towns.

With the proximity of the Suroy-Suroy dates to the Sinulog celebration, Garcia expects more local and foreign tourists to participate in the Southern Heritage Trail, which will have Talisay City as its first stop.
