Cebu Yellow Submarine offers underwater tour of Mactan sea

Take an underwater tour of Mactan’s seas from the air-conditioned comfort of the first Philippine tourist submarine called Cebu Yellow Submarine.

The submarine operates from a makeshift port in the shallows of Imperial Palace Waterpark, Resort, and Spa in Barangay Maribago in Lapu-Lapu City.

For promo rates of P1,200 for adults and P800 for children 5-12 years old, the Cebu Yellow Submarine brings guests 500 meters out to sea and then down to a depth of 35 meters, said Jun Kim, general manager of the company that owns and operates the vessel.

Guests travel underwater for 30 minutes before they are brought back up.

The vessel, operated by the Cebu Yellow Submarine and Underwater Tour Corp., can carry a maximum of 48 passengers and is allowed by its special permit from the Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) to run for eight hours during the daytime.
