Ayala Center Cebu to break ground on new expansion

Premier lifestyle destination Ayala Center Cebu is set to further expand the mall to provide more retail and dining options to Cebuanos.

Tomorrow, Jan. 24, officials of Cebu Holdings Inc. and mother company, Ayala Land, will be breaking ground to signal the start of construction of another section of the mall, the company said in a press release.

The planned expansion will complete the circular design of the mall which also serves as the centerpiece of the mixed-use development within the masterplan of Cebu Business Park. Scheduled to be completed in 2013, the four-level structure will add more than 30,000 square meters of leasable space at the mall.

Collinwood subdivision offers Spanish-themed homes

It has six types of house models: Hidalgo Royale, Amorsolo Classique, Turriano, Hermoso, Palacios Grande, and Hermoso Grande.

Hidalgo Royale and Amorsolo Classique have two bedrooms, Turriano and Hermoso have three bedrooms, Palacios Grande has four bedrooms, while Hermoso Grande has six bedrooms including the househelp’s quarters.

Collinwood subdivision’s two-bedroom homes suit small families, three- or four- bedroom units suit middle-sized families, and six bedroom homes suit large families.

Hidalgo Royale

The Hidalgo Royale is the smallest house model with its two bedrooms–each with its own closet, and bathroom with stylish fixtures. Ceramic tiles are used in the floors of the kitchen, living, and dining rooms. The house also comes with a carport and a landscaped front garden.

Cebu real estate booming

A restaurateur in Cebu sees real estate as more lucrative and has decided to invest on more properties instead of adding more outlets to his restaurant.

Efrain Pelaez, part-ower of Cebu restaurants such as Mikado, Grand Majestic, and Café de France, told The Freeman that he is taking advantage of the real estate boom in Cebu and will be developing some of his idle properties in Mactan Island and Olanggo.

Affordable Cebu houses in Cordova Bay subdivision

Located in the interior portion of the village of Gabi in Cordova in Mactan island, Cordova Bay town homes are built at par with houses in middle-end subdivisions elsewhere in Cebu but sold at lower cost.

The total area of Cordova Bay Townhomes is also smaller compared to other subdivisions in Lapu-Lapu City and in other areas of Cebu.

Aldea del Sol houses in Lapu-Lapu, Mactan

The Aldea del Sol subdivision is in the village of Bangkal in Lapu-Lapu City in Mactan island. It has two house models–Redwood and Daphne–that are of Spanish-inspired themes.

Filinvest Land Incorporated, which owns the subdivision, considers Aldea del Sol among its middle-income projects and the cost of the houses in the subdivision ranges from 1.5 million (close to $30,000 using May 2006 exchange rates) for the Redwood model to 3 million pesos for the Daphne model.
