PAL offers promo fares to celebrate Boeing 777 arrival

Philippine Airlines celebrates the arrival this month of its new Boeing 777-300ER by offering discounted fares of P777 from Manila to destinations in Luzon and the Visayas and vice versa.

Trips from Manila to eight Mindanao areas as well as return trips cost P1,777 one way per person.

Fares at P777 are for trips from Manila to Laoag, Legaspi, and Punta Princesa in Luzon and to Cebu, Bacolod, Iloilo, Kalibo, Tagbilaran, Tacloban, Dumaguete, and Roxas in the Visayas. Return trips cost the same. The price is also P777 for trips between Cebu and Davao.

Flights from Manila to Davao, Cagayan, Cotabato, Dipolog, General Santos, Zamboanga, Ozamis, and Butuan in Mindanao are priced at P1,777 for one way and vice versa.

The Observer picks Lighthouse as best place to eat Filipino food

The Lighthouse Restaurant in Gaisano Country Mall in Cebu City was picked as the best place to eat Filipino cuisine in an article first published in the Guardian.co.uk website and later printed on the Recipes and Features section of the Sept. 13 issue of The Observer.

In the article  “The 50 best things to eat in the world, and where to eat them” by Killian Fox, the Lighthouse restaurant was described as a favorite and its staff “so friendly and welcoming.”
